Floods cut Washington highways

Water from the Chehalis River covers railroad tracks, local roads and Interstate 5 Thursday in Chehalis, Wash. Some 55,000 vehicles usually use that section of I-5 on a typical day. Floods and avalanches kept tens of thousands of people in Washington state from their homes Thursday and cut off highways that link Seattle's ports with markets around the country.


Obama urges delay in digital TV transition
